Alameda County – Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Draft: Alameda County, on behalf of Unincorporated Alameda County, is updating its 2016 Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. A public draft of the 2021 LHMP is available for review and comment. https://lhmp.acgov.org
Los Angeles County – LA County Climate Vulnerability Assessment: In October Los Angeles County released its Climate Vulnerability Assessment, which was conducted to help understand the risks and challenges that a changing climate will bring to people living in Los Angeles County. San Diego County – Climate Resilient SD Plan: In December, the San Diego City Council adopted the City’s first-ever climate adaptation and resiliency plan. Climate Resilient SD provides strategies to prepare, respond and recover from potential climate change hazards, like extreme heat, wildfires, sea level rise, and flooding and drought, as well as how the proposed investments can improve local communities. San Francisco – Launches New Climate Resilience Program: San Francisco launched ClimateSF, a comprehensive multi-agency effort to guide San Francisco’s climate resilience efforts, led by the Mayor’s Office and the San Francisco Office of Resilience and Capital Planning, Planning Department, Department of the Environment, Port of San Francisco, and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. https://sfmayor.org/article/mayor-london-breed-launches-new-climate-resilience-program

Ventura County – Hazard Mitigation Plan Update: Ventura County is currently in the process of updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan.
