Green = Good (AQI 0-50); Yellow = Moderate (AQI 51-100), Orange = Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (AQI 101-150), Red = Unhealthy (AQI 151-200), Purple = Very  (AQI 201-300), Maroon = Hazardous (AQI 301 and higher)

Local Air Districts

California has 35 local Air Districts that are responsible for regional air quality planning, monitoring, and stationary source and facility permitting. Below are all 35 local air districts and the regions they cover. The main link goes the the districts main website.

Amador County Air Pollution Control District: covers all of Amador County. Direct link to their Current Wildfire Smoke Information page.

Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District: covers northeast portion of Los Angeles County.

Bay Area Air Quality Management District: covers Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties, and the western portion of Solano and southern portion of Sonoma counties. Direct link to Current Air Quality page.

Butte County Air Quality Management District: covers all of Butte County.

Calaveras County Air Pollution Control District: covers all of Calaveras County

Colusa County Air Pollution Control District: covers all of Colusa County

Eastern Kern Air Pollution Control District: covers eastern portion of Kern County

El Dorado County Air Quality Management District: covers all of El Dorado County

Mojave Desert Air Quality Managment District: covers the Northern portion of San Bernardino County, and the eastern
portion of Riverside County

Monterey Bay Air Resources District: covers all of Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties

North Coast Unified Air Quality Managment District: covers all of Del Norte, Humboldt, and Trinity counties
