The California Resiliency Alliance (CRA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to strengthening California’s ability to navigate an increasingly complex risk landscape. Founded in 2009 to meet the growing need for public-private partnerships, we continue to operate at the nexus between the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to bridge silos, curate information, and serve as a trusted advisor.

From wildfires and power shutoffs to pandemics and global disruptions, we provide curated insights that help organizations stay ahead of emerging threats, identify cascading impacts, and plan with greater clarity. As a neutral, non-governmental partner, we safeguard sensitive information while fostering meaningful connections across sectors and disciplines.

Resilience depends on connection and context. CRA cuts through fragmented information flows by curating trusted updates and resources tailored to California’s unique risk landscape. As a trusted advisor at the nexus of public, private, and nonprofit sectors, we bring a cross-sector view.

So that decision-makers and planners can make informed decisions that safeguard people, sustain operations, and protect infrastructure, we:

Inform: Share actionable information on evolving and emerging threats and hazards.

Educate: Translate complex risk information into clear insights for decision-makers.

Strengthen: Develop toolkits and exercises that enhance resilience.

Bridge: Bring a cross-sector voice and perspective to planning and response.

From state agencies to local governments, from Fortune 500 companies to community organizations, CRA’s network spans California’s resilience ecosystem. Our growing network of over 1,200 subscribers is evidence of the value and trust CRA brings to those navigating California’s complex risk environment.

As a nonprofit the CRA is dependent upon subscription tiers and philanthropic support for its operations. Together we can build a California where every sector works in concert to navigate today’s risks and tomorrow’s uncertainties.
